Taylor Hawes joined Pacific Dental Services (PDS) in 2019 as its Chief Financial Officer. With a leadership approach focused on collaboration and accountability, he oversees all aspects of the organization’s finances.
Taylor played a pivotal role in guiding PDS through the financial challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. This effort led to a notable enhancement in operating free cash flows and a strong emphasis on profitable growth. In 2021, the company achieved record-breaking results and successfully managed to reduce its debt burden while simultaneously making strategic investments in platforms and capabilities aimed at enhancing clinicians’ focus on oral-systemic health. Furthermore, in early 2025, Taylor accomplished a successful recapitalization, earning top ratings from Moody’s and S&P for the company.
Prior to joining PDS, Taylor served in many executive capacities at the Microsoft Corporation, where he was instrumental in the company’s strategic plan development and financial operations. During his tenure, he designed and delivered business intelligence and reporting systems and led the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting efforts. He also developed pricing and valuation models that led to more than $2 billion in deals with major technology companies.
Taylor received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California and is a lifetime member of Financial Executives International, serving as chair in 2014. He is also a member of the International Accounting Standards Board Advisory Council and an Advisory Board member to USC’s Leventhal School of Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in both California and Washington.
