Will brings over 15 years of experience advising business owners on accounting, entity selection, flow-through and partnership taxation, corporate tax, multi-state compliance, audit and attestation, capital raising, and transaction advisory. He also has 8 years of experience working with startups and growth-stage technology companies, where he has focused on driving revenue growth and building strong, lasting client relationships.
He began his career at a boutique accounting firm in Kansas City, supporting small businesses with bookkeeping, tax strategy, and audit services. Will later joined EY, where he managed real estate compliance engagements for multinational private equity funds. In this role, he interpreted Limited Partnership Agreements, calculated waterfall distributions, and conducted REIT testing for notable clients including Digital Realty, CBRE, and Colliers International.
In 2017, Will joined a seed-stage FinTech startup, where he played a key role in scaling the company from pre-revenue to over $1 million in sales. He then moved to PitchBook Data, partnering closely with investors to develop proprietary deal sourcing strategies and advising investor relations teams on innovative fundraising approaches. He collaborated with investment bankers to enhance valuation methodologies and Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) development, while also working directly with founders and C-suite executives on capital raises ranging from $500,000 to $100 million.
Today, Will advises family-owned businesses preparing for their first institutional capital raise and supports founders across SaaS and life sciences sectors. His work includes market mapping, pitch deck development, and facilitating introductions to venture capital investors. On the buy-side, he provides financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and quality of earnings reporting for middle-market private equity funds, family offices, and independent sponsors.
