This session will focus on fraud risk awareness, prevention, and mitigation, designed for finance professionals. This discussion will review the fundamentals of fraud, highlight common risk factors in financial operations, and clarify roles and responsibilities in fraud risk management. 

Participants will learn practical strategies for fraud detection and prevention, including a process for managing fraud risk and strengthening internal controls. The session aims to equip your team with the tools and insights needed to proactively identify, prevent, and respond to fraud, supporting a culture of integrity and accountability within your accounting and finance functions.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify common fraud risk factors in financial operations and explain how they impact internal controls and organizational integrity.
  • Apply practical strategies for fraud detection and prevention, including techniques for strengthening internal controls and managing fraud risk proactively.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities in fraud risk management, enabling participants to support a culture of accountability and ethical financial practices within their organizations.
