Derby Lane was the oldest continuously operating greyhound track in the United States until live racing ended in December 2020 due to a constitutional amendment. The facility remains active with a poker room featuring live-action poker tournaments and Vegas-style table games. It also offers simulcast wagering on horse and greyhound races from tracks around the world. In addition, it now hosts many regular events on the property, making it a destination for people to come to.
The 130-acre property was sold to an investment group, Rally Development LLC, in April 2025 and is being considered for major redevelopment. A portion of the front parking lot is currently leased to Amazon as a staging area.
Please join us at Derby Lane on February 19th for a behind-the-scenes tour and presentation led by Angela Smoller, CFO. During this program, you’ll learn about:
- The history of the company
- The recent property sale
- The challenges of acquiring a 100-year-old company that hadn't invested in technology in decades, what has been accomplished over the last 9 months, and what is to come.
- Future plans for the property
