Brio Tuscan Grille, 2223 N. Westshore Blvd., Tampa, FL 33607
Wednesday, May 06, 2026 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

This session will introduce accounting and finance professionals to the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a “co-pilot” within everyday workflows. Rather than focusing on theory or tool demonstrations, the session centers on how AI can be applied to real accounting tasks such as data analysis, variance review, and financial insight generation. Participants will learn how AI integrates into existing processes without replacing professional judgment, emphasizing a structured and controlled approach to adoption.

Through real-world examples and a guided walkthrough of a simple analysis using structured data, attendees will see how AI can significantly reduce manual effort while improving clarity and speed of insight. The session also addresses common concerns around security, IT approval, and data governance, providing a practical framework for using AI responsibly within a corporate finance environment.

By the end of the session, participants will understand how to move from ad hoc AI usage toward more structured, repeatable workflows. The session is designed to help finance professionals take an initial, controlled step into AI adoption while maintaining auditability, accuracy, and professional accountability.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the role of AI as a co-pilot in accounting workflows and distinguish it from full automation.
  • Identify appropriate use cases for AI within finance functions, including data analysis and reporting support.
  • Apply simple AI prompting techniques to analyze structured datasets and generate actionable insights.
  • Describe key considerations for data security and governance when using AI tools in a corporate environment.
  • Recognize the progression from basic AI use to structured workflows, including when to transition from chat-based interactions to more repeatable processes.
