After 22 successful years at Microsoft, Robbie Bach shifted focus from driving business results to advancing broader social impact. Now working as a civic engineer, He applies the strategic frameworks and leadership experience developed as Chief Xbox Officer to complex civic and community challenges.
In addition to consulting with civic and business organizations, Robbie Bach lectures at universities and conferences across the United States. He is the author of Xbox Revisited: A Game Plan for Corporate and Civic Renewal (2015) and the debut novel The Wilkes Insurrection (2021), followed by the thriller sequel The Blockchain Syndicate (2025).
Robbie Bach is a past chair and current board member of the Bipartisan Policy Center and serves on the national board of governors for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, as well as the local Boys & Girls Club board in Bellevue, Washington.He also serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity International. Previous board service includes the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, Sonos, Brooks Running Company, Magic Leap, Space Needle Inc., Year Up Puget Sound, and the Morehead-Cain Alumni Foundation.
Robbie Bach is also the co-owner of Manini’s, Inc., a gluten-free pasta and baking company.
