Minnesota’s Paid Leave program is on the horizon—and it’s time to prepare. This session will unpack the core benefits available to employees, outline key responsibilities for employers, and explore what implementation may look like across organizations. Through practical examples and clear guidance, attendees will gain a working understanding of how Paid Leave will impact workforce planning, compliance, and day-to-day operations.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify the key components of Minnesota’s Paid Leave program, including eligibility criteria, benefit structure, and covered leave types. Focus: Foundational understanding of the program’s design and scope.
  •  Analyze employer responsibilities under the new Paid Leave legislation, including compliance requirements, payroll implications, and reporting obligations. Focus: Practical application for HR, payroll, and compliance professionals.
  •  Evaluate the potential impact of Minnesota Paid Leave on organizational policies and employee relations and formulate strategies for effective implementation. Focus: Strategic planning and policy integration.
