Dr. Farka is a Professor of Economics and Co-Director of the Woods Center for Economic Analysis and Forecasting at Cal State Fullerton. She also serves as a member of the California State Controller’s Council of Economic Advisors.
Dr. Farka has published in leading academic journals in the fields of monetary policy and financial economics, and is a nationally recognized economist in business and economic forecasting. She is widely known for developing and presenting the CSUF Economic Forecasts for the Nation, Southern California, and Orange County.
Dr. Farka is the recipient of multiple awards for her academic research, teaching, and the accuracy of her forecasts. A sought-after keynote speaker, she is frequently invited to discuss economic and financial issues by business, government, and educational organizations. Prior to joining Cal State Fullerton, she worked as a senior economist for Deutsche Bank. She was named one of Orange County’s 500 most influential people in 2022 and 2023.
