Mark Salamone is a Senior Vice President – Retirement Plan Services at HUB Retirement and Wealth Management. Mark has a passion for working with plan fiduciaries using strategic data analytics to measure the success of the retirement plan and for developing action plans towards improving plan health and employee retirement outcomes. He loves to assist plan sponsors in developing initiatives designed with the goal to recruit, reward, and retain talent and is always excited to play a role in an organization’s growth strategy.  

Prior the HUB International acquisition of Alpha Pension Group in 2021, Mark joined as a co-owner of the firm in 2006 where he oversaw all client management functions and served as the firm’s CFO. Before this, Mark worked as a financial advisor at New York Life and Eagle Strategies. During this time, Mark gained extensive knowledge about retirement plans and the various service and fee models. He quickly realized the importance of providing transparent, personalized, and cost-effective retirement planning services to help clients negotiate lower fees and get the most value from their retirement plans. Now, in his current role, he continues his mission to provide the best client experience and improve the country’s retirement landscape.  

Mark earned his B.S. in Finance from Bentley University. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) designation, the Series 6 and Series 63 securities registrations through LPL Financial and the Series 65 securities registration through Global Retirement Partners, LLC.  

Outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Mark is an avid Boston sports fan and still believes he has a chance of playing for the Celtics one day  

Rich is the President of HUB Retirement and Wealth Management. Rich was the founder of Alpha Pension Group, an independent pension consulting firm. Rich works with clients to improve the impact of company-sponsored retirement plans and strengthens the financial future of their employees. 

Rich started in the retirement plan industry in 1999 and has since been working towards improving the quality of retirement plans and employee education. Rich received a B.S. in  Finance from Bentley College and an MBA in Finance from Suffolk University. Additionally, Rich is an Investment Adviser Representative, a Certified Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS) and has his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation from the University of Pittsburgh. Rich speaks quarterly at public conferences and investment committee meetings about the retirement plan industry's best practices” and prudent management of retirement plan investment offerings. 

As an investment fiduciary, one of the goals of Alpha Pension is to create a path for its clients to navigate as they provide a well-defined fiduciary process. This focus includes three fundamental areas of prudent plan management: investment analytics services, employee education services and fiduciary governance. 

Rich enjoys spending quality time with his beautiful wife and three amazing young children. Rich also enjoys playing the guitar, his daily exercise regimen, and healthy eating habits.
