Cheryl is an accomplished partner with more than 20 years of experience within the public accounting and private sectors, primarily related to publicly traded luxury retail, life insurance, and property and casualty insurance companies. She is skilled at assessing and mitigating risks, process transformation, accounting standard implementation, SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and project management. She is also qualified to serve as a financial expert. She is currently an advisory partner in Forvis Mazars’ New York office. She has been instrumental in building the firm’s retail industry services within the New York market. During her time as partner, she has advised Fortune 500 global public clients in various roles, including serving as chief audit executive during a complete redesign of the Internal Audit department; overseeing the SEC reporting department and the issuance of quarterly filings while simultaneously redesigning the processes, people, and technology of the department; managing the transition of shared services duties to a new Center of Excellence in Asia; handling the design of the second line of defense for a spinoff; and assisting in purchase accounting and SOX compliance for acquisitions. In addition, Cheryl is the sponsoring partner for the New York office’s Women Forward and Impact community service initiatives. She spearheads the development and ongoing operations of both programs focused on the advancement of women within the firm and community outreach in New York City.

Anthony is a partner based in our Charlotte office. Throughout his career, he also spent several years in the firm’s New York and London offices. He works predominantly in the financial services industry, managing complex global initiatives spanning CFO, regulatory compliance, and business operations. Anthony focuses on cross-functional projects, partnering with lines of business, technology, and various key stakeholders to successfully deliver on ERP implementation and decommissioning, legal entity restructuring, financial reporting optimization, and data sourcing. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Anthony worked for an international accounting firm. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Anthony is a graduate of Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a B.S. degree in accounting and an M.Acc. degree.

Michael specializes in management and technology consulting in both the private and public sectors across various industries, helping organizations develop strategy, improve process efficiency, manage risk, implement technologies, and maintain compliance. Michael leads our Life Sciences Industry Group and the Organizational Resilience Service Line. His range of project experiences includes helping organizations manage transformational projects, improve processes, develop and implement IT strategy, integrate organizations, and implement compliance programs. He has led large-scale strategic IT initiatives that include developing IT strategies, transforming IT operations to cloud services, improving IT infrastructure services, and building new data centers. Focused on business continuity and disaster recovery, Michael has defined, designed, and developed global, national, and local organizational resilience programs from start to finish. In the life sciences industry, he has built, implemented, and managed IT quality management teams to ensure regulatory compliance. Michael has also led large-scale project management offices, including one of the largest aviation procurements outside of the military. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Michael was a partner at a consulting firm for professional and technical staffing, where he led all private sector industry teams. Previously, he worked at a business advisory consulting company; before that, he specialized in systems development and implementation.

Jessica has worked in the financial services industry for more than 12 years. She is a leader in the CFO Business and Regulatory Advisory practices, where she leads business transformation and regulatory change process improvement efforts and has been key to solution innovation in these areas. She has broad experience managing large-scale global transformations for Fortune 500 financial institutions with work spanning the entire financial services landscape. Jessica has championed many key firm initiatives across finance, data, regulatory transformation, and program management. Jessica is a CPA, celebrating her ninth year with the firm. In 2019, she transferred from the Charlotte market to New York. This move showed the firm’s commitment to a vital market, and Jessica has been pivotal to its growth. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, she was with an international accounting firm working in assurance services. Jessica has been a dedicated volunteer with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for 13 years. She has chaired many national and local fundraising efforts and received the National Tomorrow’s Leader award in 2018. Presently, she serves on the National Milestones III Committee. She is a graduate of University of South Carolina, Columbia, with a B.S. degree in business administration and an M.Acc. degree.
