Jonathan O’Brien is co-chair of the firm's Business Law Department. He concentrates his practice on corporate law and commercial real estate, representing clients in corporate formation, contract negotiation, joint ventures, licensing, resolution of shareholder and director disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and the purchase and sale of assets.  Jonathan is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, Paris, and New York and leverages his prior experience in the U.S. and abroad on behalf of his clients.  Committed to the sustainable and elevated development of the New England coast and its resources, Jonathan is focused on his “blue economy” practice, engaged with clients in aquaculture projects and ocean-based technologies and opportunities, which include aspects such as vessel finance, equipment leasing and purchasing, and sustainable seafood and fisheries.

Matt Griffin is currently in his 23rd season at the Boston Celtics and serves as the team’s SVP of Strategy & Business Operations. Matt’s team is focused on leveraging technology, data and analytics to optimize the team’s ticketing operations, marketing operations and fan engagement initiatives. In his current role, Matt oversees the Celtics member experience, business intelligence and digital development teams. During his tenure at the Celtics, the member experience group has consistently been top 5 in the NBA in season ticket renewals and fan satisfaction and his business intelligence group has been considered a league leader in ticketing, CRM, data warehouse, marketing automation and analytics platforms to drive revenue growth.

John Santon is the Chief Financial Officer of Encore Boston Harbor, where he oversees all financial operations along with teams spanning finance, compliance, IT, surveillance, and other critical departments. A Quincy, Massachusetts native, John began his career in public accounting in Boston before moving into investment and commercial banking and later relocating to Las Vegas. There, he held several senior corporate finance and accounting roles at Caesars Entertainment, including managing investor relations during a period of bankruptcy and restructuring. In 2018, John joined Wynn Resorts as Director of Corporate Accounting and returned home to Boston in 2020 as Executive Director of Accounting at Encore Boston Harbor. He was promoted to Vice President and then CFO in 2022. Known for his steady leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, John played a key role in strengthening the property’s financial performance. In 2024, he was named the Boston Business Journal’s inaugural Rising Star at the CFO of the Year Awards.
