Nik is the leader of Forvis Mazars’ Digital Asset practice and volunteers his time as an active member of the AICPA Digital Asset Tax Task Force and Wall Street Blockchain Alliance. Nik is a frequent contributor of digital asset thought leadership and public speaking opportunities and is a Bloomberg published author. He also provides sophisticated income tax compliance, consulting, and planning services to multistate businesses and high net worth individuals. As a part of the AICPA Digital Asset Tax Task Force, Nik has been instrumental in advocacy efforts towards digital asset tax guidance in the U.S. Nik is a member of the American Institute of CPAs while maintaining active CPA licenses in Colorado, Indiana, and Texas. He is a graduate of University of Evansville, Indiana, with B.S. degrees in accounting and management information systems

Sheehan is on the in-house legal team at MoonPay with a focus on policy, litigation, and regulatory work. Prior to joining MoonPay, Sheehan was a senior associate in the Financial Markets Litigation and Enforcement group at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. There, Sheehan advised financial services providers in a variety of litigation and regulatory matters, including before the CFTC, SEC, DOJ, and state regulators. A significant portion of Sheehan’s practice at Katten focused on the blockchain/Web3 space. Before Katten, Sheehan was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and worked on a number of commercial litigation and white collar matters. Sheehan is also a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion where he is currently on Board of Directors for Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Chicago and the Board of Directors of Movement of Desis. Sheehan was a co-chair of Katten Chicago's Committee for Racial and Ethnic Diversity and also participated in the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity Pathfinders and Minority Corporate Counsel Association Sources of Success programs.
