Presented by Cerity Partners

Retirement plan fiduciaries face mounting exposure from ERISA litigation, DOL scrutiny, and rising participant expectations. This session provides finance leaders and plan committees with a practical framework for managing retirement plan risk across five critical dimensions: fiduciary governance, litigation and regulatory risk, institutional investment oversight, participant financial wellness, and fee transparency.

Drawing on recent case law and real client examples, the session will highlight the most common deficiencies that lead to litigation — from excessive recordkeeping fees to conflicts of interest — and outline the documented processes and benchmarking practices that create a defensible, institutional-grade governance structure. Attendees will leave with a clear roadmap for evaluating their own plan's risk profile and strengthening fiduciary oversight before regulators or plaintiffs' attorneys do.
