The first monthly Chapter meeting of our new program year will be our Annual Networking & Wine Dinner. We are excited and pleased to be featuring “Napa Valley's Iconic Wineries & Wines.”
This event will be focused on providing a great opportunity for networking among members, sponsors and guests; enjoying a delicious multi-course dinner; and tasting some great wines from Napa Valley.
As for our wine theme for the evening, we will be featuring 7 different wines from 7 of Napa’s oldest and most iconic wineries. These wines will be "blind tasted" with their names revealed at the end of dinner.
Six of these wineries are among the 11 oldest in the Valley including 4 of the top 5 (Charles Krug, Schramsberg, Beringer and Chateau Montelena).
And, as a special treat, we will be pouring the current vintages of the 2 wines that won the “Judgment of Paris” wine competition in 1976 that essentially put California on the world wine map.
The winners of this competition, which was recounted in the movie “Bottle Shock,” were Chateau Montelena Chardonnay (1973) and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (1973).
Brian Ruttencutter, our in-house "Somm," selected the wineries and wines for the evening and will serve as master of ceremonies for the event.
This excellent array of wines will be perfectly paired with an accompanying gourmet dinner prepared by Executive Chef David of The Pacific Club. We will also raffle off some really nice wines from our prior wine events.
Please join us to experience these stunning wines and a wonderful multi-course dinner. It's guaranteed to be a night filled with excellent networking, great wine, delicious food, and a lot of fun!
