AI Prompting Workshop for Finance Leaders AI Prompting Workshop for Finance Leaders AI Prompting Workshop for Finance Leaders

BDO | 1 Bush Street, 18th Floor | San Francisco
Thursday, February 26, 2026 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

Better prompts lead to better outputs – and improved outputs support better decisions.

In this interactive workshop, Ted Michaels, Co-Founder of Concourse, will provide a practical framework for understanding how AI systems work “under the hood” and why prompting quality directly impacts results. Participants will explore how large language models function as probabilistic prediction engines, why common failure modes occur – including hallucinations, errors, and misinterpreted intent – and how stronger context and clearer structure significantly improve output quality.

The session will cover a clear “anatomy of a prompt” framework and examine modern prompting techniques that are proving most effective today. It will also address how prompting best practices have continued to evolve – even in just the last several months – as models improve and user experiences deepen.

The workshop will include live examples using real-world finance datasets and practical business scenarios to demonstrate how AI can synthesize complex financial information across multiple tables and sources. Participants will have the opportunity to see prompts executed live, compare outputs, and refine their approach.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops. This session is designed to be practical and immediately applicable within finance organizations of varying sizes and technology environments.
